Welcome to the Ballarat Organs & Fine Music Festival
Each January, the Ballarat Goldfields come alive with beautiful music, warm community spirit, and the glow of summer. Over five inspiring days, audiences are invited to experience world-class performances in the region’s historic churches and grand heritage venues — many home to the magnificent 19th-century organs that have long defined the festival’s sound.
In 2026, the Ballarat Organs & Fine Music Festival proudly celebrates 30 years of the tradition of a festival of organs and fine music in the Ballarat Goldfields region. Revitalised under new artistic direction, the 2026 Festival honours this remarkable legacy while looking to the future — uniting exceptional Australian and international artists in programs of fine music that inspire, surprise and delight.
Beloved for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the Festival continues to bring people together to share in the joy of music, history and place. Whether you are a long-time supporter or a first-time visitor, you’ll be warmly welcomed into this vibrant celebration of community and sound.
Laura Vaughan
Artistic Director
In 2026 we are excited to welcome Laura Vaughan as Artistic Director of the Ballarat Organs and Fine Music Festival.
“As a performer with a two-decade history of playing in Ballarat, it is a true honor to take on the role of Artistic Director, and I look forward to presenting a festival program that will showcase both local and international talents. I am eagerly looking forward to sharing this exceptional music with you and reuniting with the wonderfully warm Ballarat audiences once again.
Stay tuned for more details, and I can’t wait to see you all in January!”
