Welcome to the Ballarat Organs & Fine Music Festival
Each January, the Ballarat goldfields come alive with beautiful music, warm community spirit, and the glow of summer. Over five inspiring days, audiences are invited to experience world-class performances in the region’s historic churches and grand heritage venues — many home to the magnificent 19th-century organs for which the festival is renowned.
Celebrating its 30th year in 2026, the Festival continues to bring together exceptional Australian and international artists in a program of classical and fine music of the highest calibre. From intimate chamber concerts to radiant organ recitals, each performance resonates with the character of the goldfields and the passion of its performers.
In 2026 we are excited to welcome Laura Vaughan as Festival Director of the Ballarat Organs and Fine Music Festival, encompassing five days filled of world-class music and musicians and highlighting the historic organs that populate the region.
Beloved for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere, the Festival has built a loyal audience who return year after year to share in the joy of music, history, and place. Whether you’re a long-time supporter or a first-time visitor, you’ll be warmly welcomed into this vibrant celebration of music and community.
