Artists

Sarah Stancombe +
Sarah has been a tower bell ringer in Melbourne for three years and is passionate about sharing the unique skill with new audiences. Change ringing is music, sport, art, maths, physics, history and community all wrapped up in one. Bellringers ring for both religious and secular reasons, and this is exemplified in Ballarat’s two towers, the Town Hall, and St Peter’s Church. She will speak on the history of Ballarat's bells and give an introduction to what ringing is all about, bringing other ringers and handbells to demonstrate the fun and challenge to be had! When she isn’t ringing, or travelling to other cities to ring, you’ll find Sarah producing radio and making music.
